Bottura, Chef Patron of Michelin three-star restaurant Osteria Francescana, ranked top of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2016 and 2018, recently inaugurated the guest house that bears his mother’s name, casa Maria Luigia, where guests can relax amidst a blend of art, nature and traditional and gourmet cuisine.
For the kitchen furniture, the chef choose an Ernestomeda model, in a composition created with Icon, in the IconColor version, featuring Ingo Black matt lacquered units and Ernestomeda exclusive Stone+ worktop, together with an island with Carrara Marble worktop. The kitchen’s convenience is even further enhanced by the use of appliances by the Grundig brand, including the hob, oven, microwave and refrigerator.
The main kitchen is the fulcrum of the guest house, completely at the guests’ disposal, where they can meet for breakfast or lunch, in an atmosphere of relaxed conviviality that the chef and his wife have intentionally created to “pamper” their clients: Bottura himself often hangs out with them, offering them a taste of a special dish or just stopping for a chat.
IconColor was also chosen for the kitchen in the swimming-pool area provided for guests’ use, entirely at their disposal; it is in Corian® throughout and equipped with Grundig appliances. Finally, the simple, elegant style of the Soul kitchen model adds to the personality of one of the apartments: a private, comfortable kitchen, once again fitted with Grundig appliances.
Black and white are the predominant colours of the two main kitchens, which give the villa’s light-filled interiors a modern, state-of-the-art aura, the perfect counterpoint to the genuinely traditional, artistic inspirations of the guest house’s interior design, decorated with works of art, designer creations and antiques.
