Good news for Smeg: the Italian company of design appliances received two prestigious recognitions. An international jury assigned an iF Design Award 2017 to Portofino cooker and 45cm Dolce Stil Novo wine coolers so they will be available in the iF design app. The awards ceremony at BMW World in Munich next 10 March 2017. Moreover, Smeg award-winning toaster and stand mixer will also be featured in one of three subsequent special shows in the iF design exhibition Hamburg. This is a permanent exhibition located in the very center of Hamburg’s HafenCity, the go-to place for those with a special interest in design and architecture. The iF design award has a long story: for over 60 years, it has been recognized as one of the most important international design prizes. This year the international high-profile jury assessed almost 5,500 entries from 59 countries.
