A new logistig platform will be available for Groupe SEB, which started the building on January 26 in Bully-les-Mines in Hauts-de-France. The foundation stone was symbolically laid at the presence of Frank Lichtenauer, supply chain project director at Groupe SEB, who carried out the project, and the elected representatives/ officials Xavier Bertrand, president of the Hauts-de-France region, Sylvain Robert, president of the Lens-Lievin agglomeration community and François Lemaire, mayor of Bully-les-Mines. Also companies such as Territoires 62, Primelog and GSE were participating in the ceremony.
Groupe SEB has choosen the Hauts-de-France region and more precisely the city of Bully-les-Mines to invest 80 million euros in a new 100,000 m² logistics platform at the Alouette business park. Ideally located near a highway ramp to join the A21 and the A26, close to a multimodal platform (rail and road transport) and at the junction of the famous Silk Road, the site will allow distribution of all the Groupe SEB small household appliances brands, produced in France, and intended for Western European markets.
Operated by a logistics service provider, partner of Groupe SEB, this logistics platform will create 350 jobs between 2023 and 2025, with the aim of reaching 500 jobs by 2030. The platform will be delivered at the end of 2022 and will be operational at spring 2023.
