Among the smart appliances signed by Whirlpool, the Smart Capable Top Load Washer stands out for its many innovative solution aim at simplifying the ordinary washing operations. This model allows user to skip adding detergent to every load with the Load & Go™ dispenser; presoak, scrub and wash in one spot with a built-in, dual temperature faucet and pretreat brush and create customized cycles in a few touches and managing laundry from smartphone to stay connected from anywhere.
Moreover, the Adaptive Wash technology with Active Bloom™ wash action senses the size of each load and then adapts water levels and wash actions, based on the type of load being washed, for optimal cleaning. Setting the washer to soak for 15, 30, 60 or 120 minutes, it adds water and detergent for soaking. The cycle will start automatically once soaking is complete. 
Whirlpool Top Load Washer also features a Sanitize cycle with Oxi. Design is refined and offers two colour variants: Chrome Shadow and White.
The creation of smart appliances also responds to the conviction of Whirlpool that it is also a way to encourage kids to help parents in household chores, without considering them a heavy and boring thing. Knowing that kitchen and laundry appliances are often at the center of household chores, Whirlpool continues its nearly decade-long research to explore and demonstrate how acts of care like cooking, cleaning and washing can set children up for long-term success. To study this connection further, Whirlpool brand collaborated with developmental psychologist and child development expert Richard Rende, Ph.D. The outcome reveals there are social, emotional and cognitive benefits of chores for kids throughout developmental stages, providing an opportunity for parents to consider the positive role that chores can play in their child’s development.
