The new Electrolux Innovation Factory has reached more than 100 applications. The opening will be on September 11 in Porcia, Italy.
In May, Electrolux announced a public call for ideas based on the theme ‘Smarter Appliances, Easier Operations’ to find cutting-edge solutions (related to wearable technologies and quality control in industrial activities, advanced technologies, connectivity, robotics and artificial intelligence) from external players such as start-ups, SMEs and university spin-offs.
This first-ever ‘Call4Innovation’ attracted 100 interested partners from around the world.
«The Innovation Factory will help drive Open Innovation and generate a multitude of great ideas that will lead to new value for our consumers – says Jan Brockmann, Electrolux Chief Operations Officer. We’re truly excited about the level of interest that this public call has generated, with submissions coming from around the world.»
