Smeg received the Good Design Award 2021 for eight of its products. The winners for the major domestic appliances category are: Omnichef oven equipped with the Galileo Multicooking Technology, allowing to combine traditional cooking, steam and microwaves; the 90 cm Area induction hob in silver ceramic glass with 7″ touch display; the Alta ceiling hood in matt white and stainless steel versions; the 90 cm vertical hood in Dolce Stil Novo aesthetic with black glass surface interspersed with elegant copper finishes and the Portofino kitchen with double cavity in the 90 cm version, gas or induction.
Among the small appliances, designed by the designers Raffaella Mangiarotti and Matteo Bazzicalupo of the Deepdesign® studio, the awarded products are: the mini kettle with a capacity of 0.8 l, and the electric mixer with a retro-inspired design, embellished with chrome finishes.
Also the novelty of the division dedicated to professional catering, the Galileo Professional oven, was worthy of the prestigious award thanks to a completely renewed design, a totally Italian design and production developed to achieve the highest cooking performance.
