For the fourth year in a row theTop Employer Institute named Whirlpool EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) one of the Top Employer Europe in six countries – Italy, France, Poland, Russia, UK and Germany. The “Top Employer” certification is granted to companies achieving the highest standards in human resources management. The recognition has been assigned to Whirlpool for its commitment to shaping strategic and thoughtful workplace programs. Areas identified by Top Employer Europe include Whirlpool’s efforts to create a working environment that empowers and strengthens employees’ skills, and its implementation of innovative HR practices and tools that allow people to perform at their best and thrive together every day.

Whirlpool EMEA completed a large-scale HR transformation empowering People Leaders to embody the highest-standards of excellence in their practices, in real time and in a highly digitalized environment. This initiative allowed the company to improve their employees’ experience, involving 1,200 People Leaders across 35 countries and standardizing all the HR processes for the teams. Moreover, the company in 2020 focused on wellbeing as a core priority, activating multiple surveys throughout the year to collect suggestions on employees’ needs, creating ad-hoc webinars & training sessions on various topics such as: managing teams, resilience, change and managing stress and parenting during Covid-19. Finally, the company has active Employee Resource Groups that help integrate I&D into everything that has been done – such as the Women’s Network and the Young Professionals Network.
