New Chief Executives for the British Association of home appliances

AMDEA, the UK Association of Manufacturer of Domestic Appliances, has a new Chief Executive, Paul Hade, that joins the Association from techUK, the UK’s technology trade body, where he was Director of Marketing & Membership. 
“At a time when the environment is heading the policy agenda – they explain from the Association – Paul has a range of exciting plans to take AMDEA into the new decade. Breathing new life into this respected trade association, he aims to demonstrate the value that innovations in technology will bring to the role of domestic appliances in providing UK homes with safety, comfort and sustainability. This is an important time for AMDEA, which provides the voice of the UK appliance industry, representing over sixty leading brands of large and small appliances, working alongside government, regulators, standards bodies, business and consumer advocates.”

Paul Hide

Paul Hide has spent over 20 years working for consumer electronics brands; including as UK MD & VP of European Operations at Sharp Electronics, and in senior sales and marketing roles at Sony UK. He spoke of looking forward to his new role, “2020 marks the 30th anniversary of my career within the consumer electronics industry. I am thrilled to be joining AMDEA to lead the support of this amazing industry.”
AMDEA Chair Teresa Arbuckle said, “Paul has great experience and a skill set which will be vital in advancing AMDEA’s aims and building on its current reputation.”
