Philips is a 2017 Clarivate Analytics Top 100 Global Innovator

Royal Philips announced its nomination among the 2017 Clarivate Analytics Top 100 Global Innovators. Clarivate Analytics’ (formerly known as the Thomson Reuters Intellectual Property & Science business) annual report highlights the world’s most successful organizations in terms of their active innovation through research and development, protection of intellectual property (IP), and the achievement of commercial success. This is the fifth year that Philips has been included on this prestigious list.

Clarivate Analytics’ methodology for determining the Top 100 Global Innovators is based on four principles: overall patent volume, patent application-to-grant success rate, global reach of the portfolio, and patent influence as evidenced by citations.
