After fifteen year of activity, the Weee Forum enlarges its operation area, with a new member based in North America, the first in this region. It is Epra, the Electronic Products Recycling Association Québec program, based in Canada. This Association is celebrating its 5th full year of operation in the Canadian province of Québec, and is part of the broader national network of nine provincial programs. It is the leading electronics stewardship program for environmental regulatory compliance in the province, with more than 1,600 industry stewards registered. During its initial 5 years, EPRA-Québec has expanded its collection network to nearly 1,000 drop-off points across the province, and diverted over 10-million of end-of-life electronics from landfills.EPRA-Québec becomes the WEEE Forum’s first member program from North America, expanding to thirty-four producer responsibility organizations globally.
