Sharp restarts from home appliances

Home appliances and smart home will be the focus for the recovery of Sharp which, after being bought by Foxconn Technology Group last year for financial crisis, will transfer its know-how in the White Goods sector. The Japanese company lived a very difficult period due to negative trends in TVs and smartphone Lcd displays but now it aims to become a big player in the home appliances industry and expand also in other sectors. Sharp management commented that it will require time and commitment to conquer consumers trust in the global market with new products. According to the Financial Times the company is also considering to build a manufacturing plant in the United States, that is the biggest market for Sharp. In addition to displays and appliances, it should expand the activity also in the car devices and artificial intelligence industry.
