Thanks to its deep know-how in the noise reduction, successfully applied in its hoods, Faber is the main sponsor of the first edition of the Reduction of Noise Award, the competition created by the scientific radio program Moebius of Radio 24 with the goal of designing a silent coffee grinder. Until June 30 it is possible to apply presenting a project with a detailed information sheet, explaining how the products works, with which materials it is realized, what is the strength that makes the machine really silent. Participants can send videos, drawings, rough prototypes, and all the useful material to show how the project actually works. The proposals will be evaluated by the technicians at Faber’s Research and Development Department, that have created the Sil-K ACT technology, which can break sound pollution through sound transformation.
Faber’s experts will also consider parameters such as cost, robustness, maintenance and impermeability, necessary features to test the effectiveness of a product intended for the market. In fact, the Italian company will support the winner in making a well-designed industrial prototype to be proposed to realities that could be interested in distributing it.
