Esther Berrozpe, President of Whirlpool EMEA

Esther Berrozpe Galindo, president of Whirlpool EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) has stated that Italy is at the center of the development plans of the American company in Europe. After the acquisition of Indesit, Whirlpool has planned to invest 500 million euro in four years between 2015 and 2018. The main focus is now on the evolution of processes to automate the company factories in Italy and transform them in real 4.0 level factories. But the best news concern the production, part of which came back to Italy from Poland and China.
Now, 70% of the production realized in the six Italian plants is exported to the rest of Europe, while the washing machines produced in Naples are also sold in America and the hobs manufactured at the new site in Fabriano (Marche) reach Australia. Among the most important factors that Esther Berrozpe finds in Italy, there are the technological know-how, the skills, talents as well as the creativity that allow to create products appreciated all over the world.
