Common EU standards are the only way to create a strong and fair home appliances industry in Europe. This is the mission of Ceced that is working constantly on the development of common methodologies to eliminate the existing differences among countries. Among the most recent activities, Ceced is focusing on establishing a common methodology for the calculation of the weight of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) placed on the national market in each Member State and a common methodology for the calculation of the quantity of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) generated by weight in each Member State. Together with the Weee Forum, Ceced welcomes the opportunity of the on-line public Better Regulation consultation to provide comments on the new version of the draft implementing regulation and annexes. The joint position paper is published on the website: www.ceced.eu.
