During the second quarter of the year Philips comparable sales reached 5.9 billion euro, recording a growth of 3%. Adjusted Ebita reported an improvement of 9% (544 million euro), while the company’s net income was equal to 431 million. Among the segments, the strongest has been the Health Tech one, which has grown by 5%, driven by Personal Health and Connected Care &Health Informatics, while Philips Lighting comparable sales declined by 1%. Personal Health Business totalized 1,661 million euros in the second quarter 2016, with nominal sales growing by 4% compared to 1,603 million of the same period of the previous year. Comparable sales growth in this area was 9%. Personal Care, Sleep Respiratory Care and Domestic Appliances recorded a high- single digit growth.
