Next July, 7 Ceced will organize in VDE – Merianstrasse 28 – 63069 Offenbach (Frankfurt) a workshop on how to improve testing methods for vacuum cleaners. After the introduction of the new energy label and power restrictions, these products cannot be introduced on the market if do not respect the eco-design criteria imposed by the European Commission. Among the subject that wilol be discussed, the draft agenda includes: explanation of running and planned standardization activities as follow up of the December Workshop; impact and relevance of reproducibility, measurement uncertainties and tolerances; presentation of current issues (motion resistance, crevice test vs. coarse dirt removal, load, nozzles and settings, etc.). Cenelec will also participate. Live demonstration of the test and explanations at VDE laboratory will also organized.
