Wishbone Chair is one of the first projects of the designer Hans J. Wegner, created for Carl Hansen & Son and put in production in 1950. Today, as in 1950, the light and sculptural silhouette and smooth surface of this model are still visible. To create the final product, the artisans of Carl Hansen & Son spend about three weeks to prepare and assemble the 14 constituents of the chair and weave by hand the seat for which 120 meters of rope are used. Since last year the Wishbone Chair is available in 25 lacquered colors in addition to ash, beech, oak, smoked oak, walnut and cherry.
