Western Europe: good Q3 for home applainces

europe[1]According to GfK Temax, the Western European Technical Consumer Goods (TCG) market generated sales of around 49.4 billion euro, that corresponds to 3.1 percent growth, compared to Q3 2014. Major domestic appliances marked an increase of 5.1%, reaching almost 8.4 billion euro, while small appliances sales grew by 7.4%, with a turnover of  about 3.6 billion euro. With the exception of Consumer Electronics and Photo, all the other sectors contributed to this positive growth. Telecommunication recorded an increase of 8.6%, while Information technology saw a growth of 1.6%. With regard to individual countries, sales development was largely positive in almost all countries, with the exception of Greece and Portugal showing significant decrease in sales volumes.
