IFA 2015 was the occasion for BSH to present new features and innovations for Home Connect, the digital solution to connect various home appliances from different brands in one app via Wi-Fi. According to the German company, in the future consumers will be able to use the Home Connect app to manage and control practically all of their home appliances. In addition to ovens and dishwashers under the Bosch and Siemens home appliance brands, the portfolio of products that can be connected with Home Connect and controlled via smartphone or tablet will be extended by the addition of the first washing machines, dryers, and fridge-freezer combinations from the end of 2015, followed by fully automatic coffee machines from the start of 2016. By the end of the year, home appliances equipped with Home Connect will be available in Germany, Austria, France, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and China. In the future, home appliances with the Home Connect function will be available in 30 countries.
