BSH published its annual report containing the key financials for the 2014 fiscal year. In particular, the Group’s strong growth in Asia, North America and Europe resulted a revenue of 11.4 billion euro (+8.4%) and an increase in the EBIT margin to 6.2 percent. BSH has got off to a good start in the current fiscal year and, following the first quarter, assumes that it will increase its revenue and profit again in 2015. After currency adjustments, revenue was 11.7 billion euro (+11.1% over the previous year). Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) were 705 million euro. Compared with the previous year’s figure, which was reduced by non-recurring effects, the EBIT margin thus improved by more than one percentage point to 6.2 percent. For the current year, BSH expects continuing growth in the global market for domestic appliances slightly above the level of the previous year. On the back of a strategy of even stronger regionalization, the company anticipates that revenue and EBIT will increase further in the current fiscal year.
