Elic, Italian company specialized in the manufacturing of design kitchen hoods, intends fostering its presence in China and in the Far East, through a bold development plan: for this reason, Elica has presented itself to clients and the press with the exhibition Disguise, of the artist Yang Zhenzhong, winner of the XV edition of the Ermanno Casoli Award, curated by Marcello Smarrelli. The exhibition started on May 9th 2015 at the Elica Showroom in Shanghai and will be end on June 9th. Yang Zhenzhong had been invited to perform a task which involved tens of employees at the Elica plant in Shengzhou for two months, where he made masks reproducing the facial features of the employees themselves. The performance provided some material to film a video which, along with the 50 masks, will be the main leitmotiv of the Elica Showroom in Shanghai: the Elica products on show will reproduce the same atmosphere of the company where the work of art had been made.
