Dyson has undertaken an ambitious project. The British company, leader in vacuum cleaners manufacturing, has invested 15 million dollars into a new kind of batteries that could double the battery life of smartphones and power the electronic cars. But they will be used also to improve the cordless vacuum cleaners performances.
The project started with an agreement with Sakti3, company that commercializes high performance, low cost and intrinsically safe solid-state battery technology.
New devices today require very long life battery to ensure good performances. The battery life of new smartphones or wireless products is often too short so that consumers will surely be interested in a new power system that could better the use of the most common appliances.
