On January 19, Panasonic was protagonist of the Zayed Future Energy Prize 2015 ceremony, during which Yoshihiko Yamada, executive vice president and member of the board of Panasonic Corporation, received a special recognition in Abu Dhabi, the capital of UAE.
The Zayed Future Energy Prize, inaugurated in 2008, recognizes leading solutions in renewable energy and sustainability.
With its extensive range of products supported by technologies that create, store, and save energy and water, and the solar power generation system, Panasonic has also played a key role in the development of the Fujisawa Sustainable Smart Town, an eco-conscious, sustainable city. Panasonic has received this year’s Zayed Future Energy Prize in recognition of these achievements, which adhere to Panasonic’s management philosophy of social contribution.
“It is a great honor to receive the Zayed Future Energy Prize 2015,” said Yoshihiko Yamada at the awards ceremony. “Since our foundation, we have endeavored to stay true to our management philosophy, to contribute to the progress and development of society through our business activities and a sustainable future. With our 100th anniversary on the horizon in 2018, we will further expand our efforts so that we may serve customers in a wide range of industries such as home appliances, housing, and automotive to bring to life our brand slogan, ‘A Better Life, A Better World’.”
