Dyson has recently opened a new Flagship Demo store at 640 Fifth Avenue in New York. Hair styling stations featuring the Dyson Supersonic and a purification room represent some of the experiences that await guests at the new shop.
This opening follows those of the past years in Tokyo in 2015 and London in 2016 and adds to the other Dyson Demos around the world, that are now 19 with ambitious plans to expand to new locations in 2018 and beyond.
In the US, there are three Dyson Demos: in New York, San Francisco, and Tysons, Virginia. Dyson has also partnered with Best Buy to bring Dyson Demo Experiences to approximately 90 Best Buy stores across the country.
The space of the new store in New York is designed to encourage people to pick up, test, and understand Dyson technology. Interactive demonstrations bring to life the science at the heart of its machines, and Dyson experts are available to explain products and provide recommendations that will best suit customers’ lifestyles.

A massive Dyson Digital Motor greets visitors as they enter the Demo. This technology has allowed Dyson to expand its product portfolio beyond bagless vacuums to include battery-enabled and autonomous vacuums, bladeless fans, air purifiers, lighting, hand dryers, humidifiers and, most recently, the Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer — and all those machines are now exhibited and available in one place.
