NEXT, the elegant and technological oven created and signed by the Italian company Smalvic, received the Good Design Award 2017, annually assigned by the Chicago Athenaeum, Museum of Architecture and Design in collaboration with The European Center for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies. It is a very prestigious international recognition for the industrial innovation of products all over the world. Created in Chicago in 1950 by architects Eero Saarinen, Charles and Ray Eames and Edgar Kaufmann, Jr, the Good Design Award recognizes the excellence in industrial design and in over 60 years of history it has been assigned to the biggest brands in the world in industrial production. In the 2017 edition, the panel of experts selected the winners among the thousands of works from over 48 countries.
