Gorenje’s Retro Special Edition fridge, officially licensed by Volkswagen, received the Licensing Award 2017 for Innovation. The contest was attended by more than 5,000 products in their respective categories, judged by a special panel of 140 top retail buyers, who evaluated excellence of design, innovation, originality, consumer targeting and quality of manufacture and packaging. At the end of the selection, only 5 products were chosen as the finalists in each of the 6 category types.
The awards were delivered during a ceremony held in London, organized by The Licensing Source Book. «Volkswagen – commented Richard Mackey, product manager at Gorenje UK – is one of the strongest brands in the world and the campervan is one of its most recognizable, iconic designs, making the refrigerator perfect for adding an instant touch of individual style, freedom and adventure to any kitchen.
