Once again the Electrolux Awards were celebrated to recognize high-performing teams and individuals across the company. The event took place in Stockholm and had as protagonist the talent that Electrolux considers vital to its growth. The first global award at Electrolux was introduced in 1990 – the Product Award – to recognize and reward the role of engineers in the company. Through the years as the company has become more consumer and innovation-focused, and with sustainability a central part of the business strategy, new categories have been introduced to reflect the company’s change in direction. This year 11 awards were given out to celebrate exceptional work in areas including leadership, sustainability, design, quality, invention, and marketing excellence. This year’s Sustainability Award was presented to the Food Waste Community Program from Major Appliances Asia Pacific. The program creates social investment initiatives that inspire and support local communities, focusing on health and nutrition, food waste and food insecurity.
