Elica, Italian manufacturer of high-end kitchen hoods, celebrates another big satisfaction with the assignment of the Red Design Award 2017 in the Product Design section for three of its most sophisticated products: the Summilux and Bio hoods and Nikola Tesla, the new extractor induction hob. All the winning models have been created by the designer Fabrizio Crisà, who has commented: «The Red Dot Award 2017 for three of our flagship products confirms us as leader not only of the market but also in engineering and design. In particular, the award recognized for Nikola Tesla, fills us with pride and distinguish us also for a new market segment, that of extractor hobs. Nikola Tesla is the big news of Elica, available in filtering and suction versions. It is suitable for any kind of space and, thanks to a series of accessories, meets all installation requirements. Its distinctive features is the great ease of access and cleaning of the ceramic filters and the installation versatility. The winning products are presented in a dedicated museum at Zollverein, Essen, Germany.
