Smeg and Dolce&Gabbana present “Sicily is my love”

1778

“Sicily is my Love” is the name of the new collection of small appliances born from the partnership of Smeg and Dolce&Gabbana. The Italian producer of design home appliances organized a special event to celebrate the new range during the latest edition of Salone del Mobile in Milan. Dolce&Gabbana and Smeg join creative forces to create Sicily is my Love, a new Made in Italy project. The new small appliances collection is produced by Smeg with an unmistakable Dolce&Gabbana touch. Toasters, citrus juicers, coffee machines, kettles, blenders, stand mixers and slow juicers all decorated with gold lemons, citrus fruits, prickly pears and bright red cherries are just some of the typical Sicilian decorations framed in triangular motifs called crocchi: there are also delicate floral motifs inspired by the coasts and landscapes of Southern Italy and images of fascinating Mt. Etna, surrounded by ornamental friezes, picturesque ruins of the Greek temple of Castor and Pollux in the Valley of Temples, trinacrie and cartocci, a decorative motif similar to stylised acanthus leaves.
